Mind your health 2019

Our Chairman Dr P Ngully held a further Mind Your Health programme in Tuensang, a town north east of Kohima.

25 women were invited to attend the three- day course where they are taught basic healthcare. Top of the list is maternal health, antenatal care, the importance of giving birth in hospital , giving injections, taking temperatures and  blood pressure. They are taught to recognise symptoms of Diabetes and common local prevalent diseases.

Each lady is given a  kit at the end of the course to take back to their village. The kit contains a blood pressure check machine, Aqua check for Diabetes, weighing machine and thermometer.

These sessions are held annually with the next one planned for January 2020.  It costs £200 per person for the training, which includes the medical kit.
